Róża Magdalena Ryk
Róża = Rose
Rose born in March 1995, grew up in Stalowa Wola, Poland. She joined her mother in London and went to High School in Southall at the age of 11 where she learned English. Graduated with BA in Film and Media Production. She has been painting since she can remember. Deciding to take it more seriously since 2020 selling paintings but mostly gifting her art to her friends and family.
Art has been her passion and film has been her calling. Working as a camera assistant on the biggest sets in ‘Hollywood’ seemed soulless at times and going home after a days work and painting is a wonderful break from the long days on set.
Committed to providing a better life for her family especially her grandmother in Poland and her mother who still lives in London. Rose decided to sell her art and make it a business. This is where this website started being at the bottom of the overdraft with the writers and actors strikes really impacting her lively hood and mental health. Making art to keep her sane.

‘I love making films and the technical side of being a camera assistant but nothing will ever make me as calm and peaceful as painting.’
Ryk’s work is an eclectic collection of everyday beings, objects. A lot of her work features a blue tint as an underlining theme. Weaving through abstract and realism and settling somewhere in-between. Inspired by her childhood in Eastern Europe and the colour pallet of the 90s. Making the ordinary seem extraordinary.
‘My aim is to buy my mother and grandmother a house after she pays off her’s and their debts. Where we can all live and where neither of them ever have to worry about having food on the table. I make art because they made my life meaningful and raised me to be a confident resilient woman. I make art because I see the beauty in pouring my love on a canvas.’
